About us

We didn't make grocery delivery faster. We made it fresher.

Rozbasket started from one observation about Hyderabad: most of what a household buys is not urgent. It is the same twenty things, every week, known in advance. Paying urgent-delivery prices for predictable purchases makes little sense — and paying for them in freshness makes even less.

Quick commerce solved a real problem, and it solved it by putting a warehouse between you and the farm. A ten-minute promise requires a dark store within two kilometres of you, and a dark store requires produce bought against a forecast and held until somebody wants it. The ten minutes you see at the door are paid for by one to three days you don't see on a shelf.

We took the opposite bet. Ask people to tell us tonight what they need tomorrow, and the warehouse disappears entirely. There is no speculative inventory, because we buy after demand is known. There is no shelf life to burn through, because nothing is stored at all — we are at the mandi at 4 AM and at your gate by 7. And there is no per-order trip, because an entire society shares one.

What is left is produce that is both genuinely fresher and genuinely cheaper. Those are not two achievements. They are one decision — buy only what is already sold — counted twice. And unlike a discount, neither switches off when the funding round ends.

The unit we build around is not the customer. It is the society. Each gated community becomes a small distribution node with its own demand pattern. Thirty or forty of those in one city is no longer a delivery service — it is a hyperlocal commerce network with real purchasing power and a demand signal nobody else has.

Why we're called Rozbasket

“Roz” means “every day” — रोज़ in Hindi, రోజు (roju) in Telugu. Paired with taaza (ताज़ा / తాజా), fresh in both, it is the promise in two words: fresh, every day.

That mattered to us. Hyderabad does its shopping in three languages, and a name that only lands in one of them is a name half the city has to translate before they can trust it. This one says the same thing to everybody:

  • Fresh, every day.Fresh at your gate by 7 AM.English
  • रोज़ ताज़ा।सुबह 7 बजे आपके गेट पर।हिन्दी
  • రోజూ తాజా.ఉదయం 7 గంటలకే మీ గేటు వద్ద.తెలుగు

What we optimise

Not delivery speed. Not app installs. Two numbers: hours from mandi to gate and cost per delivered order. Every decision — one drop point, reusable baskets, a short catalogue, a hard cut-off — pushes one of them down, and both come back to you as quality and price.

What we won't do

  • Compete on ten-minute delivery. We would lose, correctly.
  • Hold produce in a warehouse to make a delivery promise.
  • Stock 5,000 SKUs to look serious. Dead stock is a cost you pay.
  • Buy customers with discounts we can't sustain.
  • Add fees that quietly reverse the price advantage.

Where AI actually sits

Underneath, not in front. It reads your WhatsApp order in whatever language you wrote it, forecasts what each society will need tomorrow, decides what to buy and from whom, and sequences the morning route. You should never notice any of it — you should just notice the price and the fact that it turns up at 7 AM.

Where we are

Early, and saying so

We're building in Hyderabad first, one society at a time, and we'd rather be straight with you about the stage we're at than pretend to a scale we don't have.

Live

Morning routes running in West Hyderabad, with societies added weekly as they reach 25 households.

Next

Central and North Hyderabad routes, plus business supply across the restaurant corridors.

After that

A second city — only once cost per delivered order in Hyderabad is where we want it.

Order tonight. Fresh at your gate by 7 AM.

Bought at the mandi at dawn, never off a shelf. No app, no minimum order, no delivery fee — just message us before 11:00 PM.
