Rozbasket

छठ पूजा · ఛఠ్ పూజ

The whole Chhath basket. Pre-order by 10 November.

Daura and soop, the arghya fruit, sathi ka chawal, thekua made in our own kitchen, and every puja essential the four days need — 29 items in one basket, delivered to your door on the morning of 14, 15 or 16 November.

This one is a pre-order, not next-morning delivery. Booking closes at 11:00 PM on Tuesday 10 November and nothing is taken after that — the daura, soop and seasonal items come in from suppliers on one run, so the list has to be final before buying starts.

Chhath Puja 2026 runs from Friday 13 November to Monday 16 November, with Sandhya Arghya — the evening offering to the setting sun — on Sunday 15 November at 5:40 PM in Hyderabad, and Usha Arghya at sunrise, 6:21 AM, on Monday 16 November.

Booking closes 11:00 PM on Tuesday 10 November

The baskets

Two sizes. The same list in both.

Mini and Mega carry exactly the same items — the difference is how much of each. Pick by how many people you are feeding and how many will be at the ghat.

Images are for representation only. Actual contents are bought fresh on the morning of delivery and may vary in size, variety and appearance.

Need something that is not in either basket, or only the daura and soop? Message us — individual items and custom quantities are fine, and samitis ordering for a ghat should just send the headcount.

What's inside

All 29 items, written out

Nothing here is a surprise on delivery morning. If an item is unavailable at the mandi that day we tell you before we pack, rather than substituting it quietly.

The four days

Chhath is not one morning

Booking closes before any of them — 11:00 PM on Tuesday 10 November — and the basket arrives on the morning of 14, 15 or 16 November, so it is in the house before the daura is carried to the water.

  1. 1

    Nahay Khay

    Friday, 13 November

The fast begins. The house is cleaned and the first satvik meal is cooked — traditionally lauki and chana dal with arwa rice.

  2. 2

    Kharna

    Saturday, 14 November

A day-long fast broken after sunset with kheer, roti and fruit. The 36-hour nirjala fast starts straight after.

  3. 3

    Sandhya Arghya

    Sunday, 15 November

The main evening. The daura is carried to the water and arghya is offered to the setting sun — 5:40 PM in Hyderabad.

  4. 4

    Usha Arghya

    Monday, 16 November

Arghya to the rising sun at 6:21 AM, then the fast is broken. This is parana.

Why we built this

Chhath is hard to shop for in Hyderabad. That is the whole reason.

If you grew up with Chhath in Patna, Muzaffarpur or Ranchi, the daura came from the same bamboo seller every year and the fruit came from a market that knew exactly what the week needed. Here it is three or four separate trips, and the two things you cannot substitute — the daura and the soop — are the two hardest to find.

Our buying model happens to suit this festival better than any other we stock for. We buy at the mandi at 4 AM against orders already confirmed, so the fruit raised to the sun at 5:40 PM was bought that same morning — not pulled off a shelf it had been sitting on since Diwali.

Also searched as Surya Arghya Basket, Chhathi Maiya Basket, Pavitra Chhath Basket and Chhath Utsav Basket. They all mean this basket.

How it arrives

What we promise, exactly

  • Fruit and vegetables bought the morning they reach you, never held over from the day before
  • Thekua made in our own licensed kitchen in the days before the festival — FSSAI 23624032004550
  • Delivered free on the morning of 14, 15 or 16 November — tell us which morning when you book
  • If the mandi is short of something, you hear it from us before we pack — we do not substitute quietly
  • Single items, custom quantities and ghat-sized orders are all fine — just ask on WhatsApp

FAQs

Chhath Puja questions

When is Chhath Puja 2026, and what time is the arghya in Hyderabad?

Chhath Puja 2026 runs from Friday 13 November to Monday 16 November, with Sandhya Arghya — the evening offering to the setting sun — on Sunday 15 November at 5:40 PM in Hyderabad, and Usha Arghya at sunrise, 6:21 AM, on Monday 16 November. The four days are Nahay Khay on Friday 13 November, Kharna on Saturday 14 November, Sandhya Arghya on Sunday 15 November and Usha Arghya on Monday 16 November. Those sunset and sunrise times are calculated for Hyderabad itself — most panchangs publish Chhath timings for New Delhi, where the sun sets about fifteen minutes earlier, which matters for a festival whose entire observance is an offering made at the moment the sun goes down.

What is in the Rozbasket Chhath Shagun basket?

The Rozbasket Chhath Shagun basket carries 29 items across three groups: the fruit offered at arghya, the vegetables and leaves, and the puja essentials including the daura and soop themselves. The fruit is grapes, apple, raw banana, santra, mosambi, custard apple, ber, pani phal, nagpuri, sugarcane, green coconut and pineapple; the vegetables are arvi, suthani, barbati, gagal nimbu and banana leaves; the essentials are daura, soop, thekua, sathi ka chawal, dhokari, twelve diya, batihar, red arsa ka patta, ghee, agarbatti, kalava and red cloth. It comes in two sizes — Mini at ₹2,999 and Mega at ₹5,499 — and both carry the same list, differing only in quantity.

Where can I buy Chhath Puja samagri in Hyderabad?

Rozbasket delivers a complete Chhath Puja basket anywhere on its Hyderabad morning routes, ordered on WhatsApp at +91 62970 57698. Chhath samagri is genuinely hard to assemble here — a daura and soop are not sold in most Hyderabad markets, and sathi ka chawal, suthani and pani phal appear for about a fortnight a year — so the basket exists to save a family the three or four separate trips it otherwise takes. Order by 11:00 PM the night before you need it, and it arrives between 7–10 AM.

By when should I order the Chhath basket?

Chhath baskets must be booked by 11:00 PM on Tuesday 10 November, and no orders are taken after that. Delivery is then on the morning of 14, 15 or 16 November — you choose which morning when you book. This is the one thing Rozbasket sells as a pre-order rather than next-morning delivery: a bamboo daura, a soop, suthani, sathi ka chawal and pani phal are not mandi staples, they are ordered in from suppliers who need several days' notice and arrive in one consignment. The list has to be final before that buying starts, which is why the deadline is four days before the first delivery morning and why it is a real deadline rather than a soft one.

Can I still order a Chhath basket after 10 November?

No — booking closes at 11:00 PM on Tuesday 10 November and Rozbasket does not accept Chhath basket orders after it. The reason is procurement rather than policy: everything unusual in the basket is bought in one supplier run that leaves after the deadline, so a late order would either go unfilled or be filled by taking items out of somebody else's basket. You are welcome to message us and ask — we will tell you honestly whether anything is possible, rather than take an order we cannot deliver. Everyday groceries, including the ordinary puja range, carry on as normal on the usual next-morning schedule.

Is the thekua freshly made?

Yes — the thekua in the Chhath basket is made in Rozbasket's own licensed kitchen (FSSAI 23624032004550) in the days before the festival, not bought in from a packet. It is made with atta, gur and ghee in the usual way. If your household keeps the stricter rule that prasad must be cooked by the vratti herself, order the basket and leave the thekua out — tell us on WhatsApp and we will adjust it.

Do you sell the daura and soop separately?

Yes — the bamboo daura and the soop can be ordered on their own, and so can any single item in the basket. Message +91 62970 57698 with what you need. People usually ask for these two because they already have the fruit and the prasad in hand but cannot find the baskets anywhere in Hyderabad, which is exactly the gap this range was put together to fill.
